The anime’s plot is as follows:

Several years after the events of Inuyasha, Towa Higurashi, daughter of Sesshomaru and Rin, was born. However, she soon got lost in a forest fire and was found by Setsuna, who raised her alongside her own daughter, Moroha.

When Towa and Setsuna finally find their way back to their original time period, they discover that 10 years have passed since they were first separated. Towa sets out to find her mother, while Setsuna sets out to find her father.
